Today is World Hand Hygiene Day and Halifield Schools is encouraging everyone to stay healthy and germ free because we believe that health and hygiene are wealth and fitness.
World Hand Hygiene Day is observed on the 5th of May every year and it aims to promote the importance of hand hygiene in preventing the spread of infection and promote good health.
The theme for this year is “Together, we can accelerate action to prevent infections and antimicrobial resistance in health care and build a culture of safety and quality in which hand hygiene improvement is given high priority.” the campaign aims to keep hands clean and free of germs by hand washing. To make this effective, Halifield Schools encouraged their Pupils, Students and Staff to wash their hands upon entrance into the School Premises.

FEW TIPS FOR HEALTHY HAND HYGIENE:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap
2. Use hand sanitiser
3. Dry your hands properly
4. Use items that are disposable
5. Avoid touching your face
6. Practice good hygiene daily.
