We Train Students To Excel In Academics & Life

At Halifield College, our goal is to train every student to be distinct and stand out in all facets of life. Our programmes are designed to support students’ study habits, academic excellence, character development, skills acquisition, and personal care, all in a professional setting.

Our Curriculum

Comprising of a dynamic blend of the Nigerian and British curricula, utilizing the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Exam (WASSCE) and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) syllabi, Halifield’s blended curriculum is geared towards preparing students for the following exams:

  • WASSCE
  • IGCSE
  • BECE (Junior Secondary)
  • CHECKPOINT (Junior Secondary)

Teaching & Learning

Our students build character through pursuing mastery in various entrepreneurial skills, persevering towards academic goals and taking on new challenges.  We encourage social interaction and team work amongst students by inspiring them to develop and exploit their innate talents while inculcating strong moral values, instilling discipline and promoting skills acquisition.

We equally emphasize good morals and discipline in our students because strong intellectual capacity, devoid of a good attitude, results in an unbalanced personality.

Mentoring

Mentoring forms the backbone of shaping our students to become future leaders, sound in academics as well as character.

We provide adequate counseling, monitoring and spiritual guidance through our well-developed mentoring programs. Two major forms of mentoring are afforded to our students:

  1. Teacher-Student Mentoring Program: where a maximum of six students are assigned to a ‘parent’ or teacher-mentor. Their role is to monitor the academic, behavioral and spiritual development of the student through their years at Halifield.
  2. Counseling: This program is managed by our In-House Guidance Counsellor who supports students in everything they do; from study habits, academic assessments, career-development, to personal/social development, all in a professional setting.

International Programs

We are committed to participating in international study and research partnerships that raise global leaders. Partnering with schools abroad give us a unique opportunity to collaborate (no longer compete) on a global scale.

Ranging from teaming up with students from across the globe to designing environmental mitigation strategies for the mass roadway flooding and resulting water pollution problems in the Lagos metropolis to a musical rendition of Fela Kuti’s “Water No Get Enemy” with non-Nigerian students, we value and promote our international partnerships because our students realize there are no limits to their world once they’re exposed to possibilities.
