The Halifield Library is committed in ensuring information literacy of its students. We ensure that every student read for enjoyment, hence, we have a competitive programme where every student is made to borrow and read a book. The students read at least two books per term.
The book read is reviewed by the student, thereby earning a point for himself and his class. The point scored by the student also goes to the class because we want our students to work as a team.
The students who are avid readers push the ones who are not too keen on reading to read.
At the end of the term the class with highest points wins and the student with the highest point is announced as the ‘Avid Reader’ for the term.
